to the webpage of Computational Linguistics. We are beside Linguistics and Information Science a department of Linguistics and Information Science, which is part of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. The Chair for Computational Linguistics is occupied by Prof. Dr. Laura Kallmeyer since 2010. Furthermore, Dr. Wiebke Petersen has a junior professorship for mathematical linguistics and there are 15 more scientific staff members responsible for research and teaching. In teaching we participate in the bachelor and master programs for Linguistics and Information Science. Graduation (doctorate) is possible as well. In our research we are involved in the SFB 991 with 5 projects and have 2 more projects. Our thematic focus in research and teaching includes mildly context-sensitive grammar formalisms, formal languages, finite-state techniques, statistical machine translation and frame based knowledge representation.
